A Tale Of Two Trouble-Some Teams.

Tampa Bay Buccanneers head to Foxboro to tee off with the New England Patriots in a week 3 showdown that will be sure to have some people jumping out their seats and others with their hands over their faces with their heads dropped down. The Patriots are 2-0 and looking to build of their success thus far but the road they have taken is not exactly how the fans, organization or players seen it going.

freeTampa Bay is also dealing with its own demons. Since the drafting of qb Glennon in this past draft the starting qb for now Josh Freeman who himself was a first round pick just a few years back has demanded a traded his play has rapidly declined and some professional analyst claim that he has regressed and taken multiple steps back in his developement. That alone is not the only issue the Bucs are dealing with, The head coach is under pressure from his player’s who are organizing team meetings amongst themselves and the newly acquired cornerback Derrell Revis which they got in a huge trade from the New York Jets because they themselves could not match his price tag.

None the less these two teams have a meeting today and there will be a winner and a loser.

The Patriots look to get their offense back on track although TE Rob Gronkowski will not be suiting up just yet and Danny Amendolda recovering from his groin injury Patriots looks to move forward with a similar cast to what they had against the Jets last thursday. The Patriots remain hopeful although there have been rumors surfacing that Tom Brady is trying to get Brandon Llyod or Deion Branch to come and play these guys will not help today.

NFL: Preseason-New England Patriots at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are in a similar position however their offense has some big time weapons at who ever plays qb for them this year. Guys like running back Doug Martin who was a huge help for them his rookie season just last year and their block buster free agent signing of wide receiver Vincent Jackson in free agency from the Chargers just a few short seasons ago. They have all the potential to make a solid run but their quarterback play and offensive line are giving no such help.

Both of these teams look to make their mark defensively. The Patriots have a younger developing unit of which seems to be jellying with guys like Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo. The Patriots also extended hybrid defensive end Rob Ninkovich with a 3 year deal just prior to 11 o clock the news was reported. New England Patriots have an aggressive front 7 and are starting to build a starting unit in the secondary but while have no huge test this season so far they seem unproven however they have handled themselves nicely and in a sense won both of the teams early games.

Buc’s defense on the other hand has handled themselves great proving they can slow down powerful offenses like the New Orleans Saints and also did part in tweaking Tom Brady’s knee in a group session practice during the off-season. They are led by guys like Darrell Revis and Dashon Goldson and have an aggressive front 4 that can really bring the heat. Their mismatch would be tight ends but the Patriots have none that are proven on the roster.

All in all it should be a fun game to watch and we wish the Patriots the best today and going forward.

im looking for a statement game
