The Bruins made their first round of cuts from NHL training camp today. Six players in total were sent down to Providence. Tyler Randell, Adam Morrison, Scott Campbell, Jack Downing, Steve Spinell and Ben Youds are the players moving on.

Campbell, Downing, Spinell and Youds were demoted to Providence Bruins Camp, as they are all on AHL contracts. Randell and Morrison were both assigned to the AHL camp.

Boston’s roster now sits at 46 players. It has to be reduced to 22 by the beginning of the regular season. The next wave of camp cuts will likely come following the Bruins preseason home opener on Thursday night against new divisional foe Detroit.
