The initial wave of roster cuts took place across the NFL today. The Patriots made 10 cuts, as they needed to trim down to the mandatory 75-man roster limit. They must cut down to 53 by this coming Saturday.

The following Patriots were sent packing today:

Kamar Aiken, WR
Brandon Jones, CB
Niko Koutouvides, LB
LeQuan Lewis, CB
Mike Zupancic, LS
Cory Grissom, DT (IR)
Armon Armstead, DT (R)
Mark Harrison, WR (R)
Evan Landi, TE
*IR=Injured Reserve, *R=Reserve, non-injury

After much speculation, Tim Tebow survived the cut. The New York Giants will visit Gillette Stadium on Thursday night and it may be his final chance to prove his worth, as there are several players more worthy of roster positions at this point.
