Brady returns to practice following Wednesday’s scare

Patriots’ signal caller Tom Brady returned to practice just twenty-four hours removed from exiting Wednesday’s joint session against the Buccaneers with what was a reported left knee injury. Left tackle Nate Solder fell into the knee of Brady after attempting to block off the bull rushing Adrian Clayborn.

Brady was seen backside down on the field, clutching his left knee following the incident. He was able to walk off the field under his own power. An ACL tear to that same knee sidelined Brady for the entire 2008 campaign.

A collective sigh of relief could be heard across New England when Brady’s MRI results returned negative. The franchise quarterback wore a left knee brace in practice on Thursday (was not wearing one Wednesday), as his team concluded a week of practice with Tampa Bay.

It’s not yet clear as to whether Brady will suit up for Friday’s exhibition showdown at Gillette against the Buccaneers. Brady has indicated a desire to play according to multiple reports. Though it may be in the team’s best interest to sit him.

A fan attending the practice caught the heart stopping moment on video. Brady is sporting the red non-contact jersey. Check it out:

The word circling around the league is that Brady is listed as day-to-day with a minor knee bruise. Robert Kraft, Bill Bellichick and company certainly dodged a major bullet. When it comes to Brady’s health, airing on the side of precaution is the way to go from here on out.
