Bolts Buy Out Lecavalier


NHL News and Notes:

The Tampa Bay Lightning bought out the remaining money left on the contract of long time captain, Vincent Lecavalier.

Tampa also re-signed Keith Aulie. Contract details were not disclosed.

The Chicago Blackhawks bought out Steve Montador and Rostislav Olesz.

The San Jose Sharks re-upped with Jason Demers. Financial details where not released.

Chris Kunitz cashed in on a new contract, as the Penguins signed him to a three-year deal worth a reported $3.85 million per.

Patrick Berglund agreed to a one-year deal worth $3.25 million with the St.Louis Blues.

St.Louis also locked up Kevin Shattenkirk, signing him to a four-year deal worth $17 million.

The Columbus Blue Jackets signed Artem Anisimov three-year deal worth a reported $3.3 million per season.

John Tortorella is set to become the next coach of the Canucks.

Evgeni Nabokov wants to stay with the Islanders.

The Blackhawks will hold their Cup parade on Friday, June 27.
