Red Wings Re-up With Datsyuk, Couture and Voynov Cash In

The Los Angeles Kings signed defenseman Slava Voynov to a 6-year/$25 million contract extension on Tuesday. Voynov emerged as a key contributor this postseason.

The magician, Pavel Datsyuk agreed to terms on a 3-year/$22.5 million contract extension with the Detroit Red Wings. It will be a $7.5 million cap hit.

San Jose inked forward Logan Couture to a 5-year extension worth $6 million per year.

The Flyers came to terms on a 4-year contract with veteran defenseman Marc Steit.

Alain Vigneault signed a 5-year $10 million deal with the Rangers to be their next head coach.

The Ottawa’s Senators arena will be renamed “Canadian Tire Center.” It’s currently known as the Scotiabank Place.
