Green Shines again Celtics Take out Cavs

With Boston riding on of its worst stretch of the season dropping 5 straight and most recently a 100-85 loss at home against the New York Knicks. Heading to Cleveland Boston faces off against the lowly Cavaliers who are sitting in the bottom half of the eastern conference and given that you would think this could be a good game for Boston to get up early and coast to a comfortable win. Oh but yet again the Celtics let a sub par team hang around and going into the end of third and into the 4th Boston was at one point down 14 points , and yet again the Celtics charged back but with a different end result tonight. Jeff Green again shined and was the eventual hero of the game, Green poured in 21 points and grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists Green has picked up his play as of late and is doing the things he needs to do for Boston make its playoff push. Pierce also had a great game pulling the best Rajon Rondo look alike performance notching 19 points 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Also the struggling Brandon Bass that we see all year he seemed to find his groove here tonight in most recent Bass tallied a season high 22 points and 5 rebounds. Bass’s play is crucial to Boston’s success going forward. With the clock running down and Boston down one 9 seconds on the clock Doc Rivers gets the ball on the side and draws up a play at the end play. That play was for Jeff Green off of a curl at the top of the key Green caught the ball and drove to the basket with a contorted layup laid the ball in with the clock running down and no time for the Cavs to respond. This marks Jeff Greens second game winning play of the season and Friday against the Atlanta Hawks. Boston looks to keep its winning ways alive here on Friday against the 6th seed Atlanta hawks a team they have been chasing all season and should shape up to be a good game.
